End of the Year Meme

2014

2014 has come to a close, so it’s time for the traditional Q&A.

1. Was 2014 a good year for you?
I did some pretty awesome things this year.  So, yes.

2. What was your favourite moment of the year?
Sitting in our amazing New York hotel room and photographing the rain – so atmospheric.

3. What was your least favourite moment of the year?
Sounds terrible but nothing springs to mind.

4. What are your plans for 2015?
I don’t have much planned – a trip to Wales in the spring, vague ideas about another holiday.  Nothing hugely concrete.

5. What countries did you visit?
Denmark, Scotland, and America.

6. What date in 2014 will remain etched in your memory?
16th August – my niece was born.

7. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Walking twelve miles across the South West Coastal Path.  I would not have been able to do this at the beginning of the year.

8. What was your biggest failure?
Failing to do a lot of the touristy things on our New York trip?

9. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
Nothing – hurrah!

10. What was the best thing you bought?
Kasper, our beautiful Audi A1.

11. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Men.

12. Where did most of your money go?
Trip to New York and the car.  OOO, and my new kitchen.  (Jesus, we’ve spent a lot this year).

Trip to New York and the car!  I was also really giddy to see Jenny Slate and Lena Dunham (separately) and CRAZY excited for the Veronica Mars Movie.

The Shins – So What Now.  Seeing Wish I Was Here at the Kickstarter backer screening with a Zach Braff Q&A afterwards

15. Compared to this time last year are you:
a) Fatter or thinner? Same, but much fitter.
b) Happier or sadder? Same.
c) Richer or poorer?  Same!

Walking.  I only started midway through the year – I wish I started earlier.

Spend money.

18. How will you be spending Christmas?
We spent it at my parents and my in-laws, as we do each year.

With many actors – Jenny Slate, Jake Lacey, Bill Hader, Mads Mikkelsen, Pilou Asbæk, Sidse Babett Knudsen.  And my new kitchen.  And my new car.

Hannibal blew my mind.  The Mindy Project continued my adoration of Mindy Kaling.  New Girl won me back.  Borgen was stunningly written.
