About Me

Me2015

Once upon a time, I had an ambition to be a writer. Didn’t we all. But my desire to spend/waste all my money on trips to America, tattoos, and boring things like the mortgage meant I ended up working in Higher Education, specifically in data – what a nerd.

But the desire to write never left me, so I turned to blogging to satisfy my creative side (leaving me free to focus on spreadsheets in my day job).  I’ve been blogging since 2001, first Diaryland, then Livejournal, and then through my Project 365 on Flickr, which I’m still doing nine years later.

I live in the south of England with my Husband who indulges me with many trips to the States, and turns a blind eye when yet another parcel arrives in the post containing jewellery or another watch to add to my collection.  He’s my partner-in-crime when it comes to a random mini-break, and very rarely acts surprised when I come home with a different hair colour.

The title of my blog comes from the very first Patrick Wolf song I fell in love with. And I couldn’t have a new blog without at least one reference to my musical hero. I’ve been a fan(girl) of his since 2005 and have seen him live 20 times since then. You could say I’m a little obsessed.

  1. Hello,

My name is Jocelyn and I am with Dwellable. I am looking for fun and authentic blogs about the Southern Coast of Maine and yours happened to catch my eye. If you’re open to it, shoot me an e-mail at jocelyn(at)dwellable(dot)com.

Hope to hear from you soon!
